Review the Market Pulse sentiment donut and major indices/sectors (updated end-of-day). See if the market closed in bullish (green/yellow) or bearish (orange/red) territory. This gives you the overnight context before today's open.

Today's volatility snapshot (real-time)

See the top 5 daily and hourly signals, long/short bias, and total breach count. This section updates every 2 minutes during market hours. Click any symbol to dive into the full chart and scanner.

Monitor intraday activity

Watch the timeline chart to see when volatility breaches are peaking. More activity = more opportunities. Use this to time your entries or spot unusual market behavior during the trading day.

Everything you need to know about the Volatility Box Dashboard

The dashboard shows: (1) Market Pulse sentiment distribution across all breaching symbols, (2) Current Market Pulse stage for major indices (SPY, QQQ, DIA, IWM, TLT) and all 11 S&P sectors, (3) Top 5 daily and hourly trend-following signals from S&P 100 stocks, and (4) Intraday activity timeline showing hourly volatility breaches.

The Recent Signals section and Intraday Activity Timeline update every 2 minutes during market hours (9:30 AM - 4:00 PM ET). The Market Pulse sentiment donut (left donut), major indices, and sector stages update end-of-day after market close. This gives you overnight context in the morning plus real-time volatility signals throughout the day.

Green = Acceleration (strong bullish), Yellow = Accumulation (cautious bullish), Orange = Distribution (cautious bearish), Red = Deceleration (strong bearish). The dashboard shows what percentage of today's breaching symbols are in each stage, giving you overall market sentiment.

Daily signals are from strategies 5-17 (daily VB models) meant for swing trades over multiple days. Hourly signals are from strategies 1-4 (hourly VB models) meant for intraday trades. Both are filtered to show only trend-following setups that align with Market Pulse.

The dashboard only shows trend-following setups: long signals in green/yellow stages, short signals in red/orange stages. This filters out counter-trend trades and shows you the highest-probability setups that trade WITH the current Market Pulse regime.

The timeline chart shows unique symbol breaches for each hour from 9 AM to 3 PM ET. More bars = more volatility = more opportunities. Use it to identify the most active trading hours and spot unusual spikes in activity that may signal important market moves.

This shows how many consecutive days an index or sector has been in its current Market Pulse stage. SPY in Green (7) means SPY has been in Acceleration stage for 7 days straight. Longer durations suggest stronger trends; short durations may signal transitions.
