The Stock Volatility Box platform is organized to make it easy for traders to find and act on volatility setups efficiently. Below is an updated overview of how to navigate the platform, using its intuitive interface and tools.

Platform Overview

When you log in, you’ll see the Home Page, which gives you a high-level overview of market activity, trade statistics, and key insights. The left-hand navigation menu provides direct access to all major tools, including the Live Scanner, Dashboard, Indicator Generator, and Short Interest Scanner.

Home Page

The Home Page is designed to provide a quick snapshot of trading activity and platform highlights:

• Active Trades: Number of trades currently open and active in the Live Scanner.
• Closed Trades: Total trades closed on the scanner today, categorized by model type and entry type.
• Bullish and Bearish Short Interest Opportunities: Quick counts of setups identified by the Short Interest Scanner.
• Visual Analytics: Charts and graphs showing trade breakdowns by model type, entry type, and daily trade counts over the past 15 days.

This page gives you a quick sense of the day’s market environment before diving into specific tools.

Live Scanner

The Live Scanner is the heart of the platform, where you can find real-time volatility setups. From the left-hand menu, click Live Scanner to access it.

What You’ll See:

• Tabs at the Top:
  • Overlap: Shows setups where both hourly and daily models are breached simultaneously. These are often the highest-probability setups.
  • Hourly: Tracks setups based on hourly breaches, great for intraday trades.
  • Daily: Highlights setups triggered by daily breaches, useful for larger market reversals.
  • All: Combines all breaches in one view for a full market perspective.
• Filters at the Top:
  • Model (Aggressive/Conservative): Toggle between tight or wider levels for trades.
  • Entry (Long/Short): Focus on the type of trade setup you’re targeting.
  • State (Open/Closed): See trades currently active or recently closed.

How to Use It:

1. Open the scanner to see setups across the selected tab.
2. Use filters to narrow down to actionable opportunities that fit your strategy.
3. Apply a setup (e.g., reversal, short squeeze) and plan your trade.

The Live Scanner is updated in real-time, giving you a clear, instant view of where opportunities exist in the market.

Tools Overview

• Indicator Generator: Generate weekly ThinkOrSwim-compatible .STUDY files. These models incorporate fresh data to ensure accuracy for your charts.
• Dashboard: Monitor key volatility levels for up to 30 symbols. This is especially useful for tracking trends and identifying sector moves.
• Short Interest Scanner: Combines high short interest levels with technical setups like the TTM Squeeze and trend filters to identify potential short squeeze candidates.

Where to Find Tools

All tools are accessible from the navigation menu on the left-hand side:

• Click Home to return to the main page.
• Use Live Scanner for current volatility setups.
• Go to Dashboard for an overview of tracked symbols.
• Select Short Interest to identify short-squeeze opportunities.
• Click Indicator to generate or download ThinkOrSwim files.
